Coronavirus: See photos of the 240-bed Isolation Centre taking shape at the NYSC Camp in Anambra State

Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano is taking no chances in the fight against Coronavirus even when no case has been recorded in the state.    The governor took to his official Facebook page to share photos of the 240-bed Isolation Centre taking shape at the NYSC Camp in the state, and said that when ready it shall have all needed equipment and beds properly spaced.   Obiano also revealed that the Isolation facility centres at Awka, Nnewi, and Onitsha are being worked on.    Anambra currently has no confirmed case of coronavirus.   

Update: Photos of the young man shot dead by soldier enforcing lockdown order in Warri

A youth leader Joseph Pessu was shot dead today by a soldier at Ada Val Arenyenka street, along the Ugbuwangue axis of the NPA Expressway, Warri, Delta state for disobeying the lockdown order.   The incident which happened at about 9:40am on Thursday, April 2, while the victim was riding his power bike, caused chaos in the community as youths attacked soldiers in retailiation to Pessu's death.   Pessu's friends have taken to Facebook to mourn his death. Chinese businessman arrested in South Africa for allegedly locking up 14 employees for several days and forcing them to produce masks

A 53-year-old Chinese national has been granted R20,000 bail in the Durban magistrate's court in connection with charges related to contravening the Disaster Management Act.   The man was arrested by a multidisciplinary team on Sunday for allegedly locking up 14 employees for several days and forcing them to produce masks in response to the demand created by the outbreak of the coronavirus.   After a tip-off, inspectors from the KZN department of economic development Consumer Protection Unit made the arrest and rescued 14 workers at the firm in Glen Anil.   His next appearance was set down for June 20. Wimbledon 2020 cancelled for the first time since World War II due to the Coronavirus pandemic

Wimbledon has been cancelled for the first time since the Second World War due to the Coronavirus pandemic.   The tough decision was made by all the England Club chiefs at an emergency board meeting on Wednesday, where they decided that it will be impossible for the tournament to be moved back to later in the year, or to be played without fans.    The Wimbledon was initially due to start on 29 June, to late July.   A statement on the Wimbledon website said:  “It is with great regret that the Main Board of the All England Club (AELTC) and the Committee of Management of The Championships have today decided that The Championships 2020 will be cancelled due to public health concerns linked to the coronavirus epidemic. Burna Boy has announced that he is quitting Twitter again, hours after being dragged by social media users for being "too proud and arrogant".    Recall that the singer was slammed by Nigerians after categorically saying that Reekado Banks who signified interest in a "battle of hits" with him, was an unworthy challenger.    Reacting to the backlash that trailed the Twitter exchange, the singer stated that "if what Nigerian twitter said about me had any effect on me then he would be dead by now".    Burna Boy who insisted that his last tweets were his "last personal tweet ever", stated that he is too real for the social media platform.    He tweeted;    If what Nigerian twitter said about me had any effect on me then I would be Dead by now. 12 new cases of Coronavirus have been detected in Nigeria.   According to the NCDC, nine new cases were detected in Osun, two in Edo state and one in Ekiti. The total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria have risen to 151.  Find Details below;

Kate Henshaw responds as she's accused of seizing tips of waiter

The actress posted a tweet where she questioned the quality of the relief package Lagos state promised to give to vulnerable citizens. A follower responded and accused her of doing worse when she was in a position of power. The accusation made included money laundering and the Twitter user threatened to release proof if Ms Henshaw denies it. And Kate Henshaw hit back.   It began with Kate tweeting: "Please o.. its day 1 of National lockdown in Lagos State. I no wan shout, I am just asking a question ni. The relief package sent to the households-in-need in Lagos state contains what?
