                              An unidentified man has been arrestd by the police in Calabar after he was caught stealing meat from a Reverend father's Kitchen. According to reports the Man who stays with the Parish Priest of St. Paul Catholic Church, Rev. Father Francis Effiong atboys Quater had gone to steal the meat from fridge after the Reverend went for service yesterday morning. But was caught when he was trying to leave the Kitchen, He confessed to have stolen washing machines, television sets, cookers from the Priest’s house before now.

A 10-year-old boy, identified as Chimobi, has been taken into protective custody by the Lagos State Government after his brother’s wife, Gift Igwe, allegedly set him ablaze at their home on Adenugba Street, Agunfoye, Ikorodu after he misplaced his trousers and could not produce them when Gift demanded them from him. Policemen from the Igbogbo division were said to have arrested the suspect. A source told PUNCH Metro that the child was brought to Lagos in 2016 by the brother to start living with his family. He said since then, Gift had been abusing Chimobi, adding that matter came to a head when she set him ablaze that Wednesday. Chimobi the victim said his brother and his wife had refused to enrol him in a school since he started living with them. “I misplaced my trousers and ‘mummy’ (sister-in-law) poured kerosene on me and used a matchstick to light fire. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says its investigative team has not been allowed to meet with the immediate past Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke, in the United Kingdom, where she has been staying since 2015 when investigation into her tenure began. The commission stated in a counter-affidavit filed before the Federal High Court, Abuja, that it had been investigating the ex-minister for various allegations of corrupt practices, including abuse of office, money laundering, stealing of public funds and illegal acquisition of properties within and outside Nigeria. A 15year old girl has been declared missing by his Guardian, As he's yet to return home since last week Monday when he left for school in Ogun state. Asmau Ajibade, a Junior Secondary School 2 pupil of Agbara Commuinty had left the house at about 7.30am last Monday in her school uniform. The belief in the house was that she had gone to school. The guardians became apprehensive when it was 4pm and she had not returned home. Record of the school reportedly revealed that she was absent that day. Ajarat said the girl had been living with them since she was four years old, adding that she was surprised by her disappearance. She said it was the first time she would leave home without returning.
