While Selena Gomez has reconnected with an old friend, Justin Bieber has made a new one. The "Confident" singer, 20, has been spending a lot of time lately with 18-year-old Spanish model Yovanna Ventura. After jetting to Las Vegas for a whirlwind weekend, which included attending the Floyd Mayweather fight, Bieber and the brunette beauty headed to California where they have continued to hang out.The duo was most recently spotted getting cozy in Venice Beach on Monday. Although Bieber labeled Ventura a "friend" on Instagram, there clearly is something more going on between these two.

Aside his stage charisma which has seen him snatching the show from top artistes at the Trek, the love shown to the delta born when he performed during the show at Ewkulobia in Anambra State was massive.No sooner did he arrive the stage, than fans surrounded him, sang along and danced with him while he performed his mega hit single, BetterPikin. It took the effort of security officials to save Mr. Songs from the over excited crowd who almost mobbed him as seen in the pictures below.

When Usain Bolt discovered a signed pair of his running shoes worth £20,000 had been stolen in London, the sprint sensation wasted no time in calling out the thief. The Olympic champion was made aware of the theft and tweeted: ‘I know u love me but please why u had to go stealing that signed Usain Bolt spikes in Croydon, England.. I know u going to return it. Right?‘All you had to do was just ask me for one. No need to go stealing the things. Come on now. ’Theft: A pair of Usain Bolt’s shoes were stolen (left) and so the sprint star sent a replacement (right)Bolt then posted a picture which showed him signing another pair of shoes and added: ‘Only natural I sign [sic] sum spikes after one of my overly excited [sic] fan stole that one..FedEx straight to London later. ’ The orange Puma shoes were framed with a photo of the Jamaican superstar. Scotland Yard said the items were taken from an industrial site between April 26-28.

Mavin records and its artistes are having a big time celebrating two years of existence. The music label was floated by multiple award-winning music producer, Michael Collins Ajereh on May 8, 2012. The label's inception came to fruition following the closure of Mo'Hits Records, a record label owned by the aforementioned producer and D'Banj. Mavin Records is home to recording artists such as Tiwa Savage, Dr SID, D' Prince, Di’ja, Reekado, and Korede Bello. The label also houses a roster of producers such as Jazzy himself, Altims, and Baby Fresh.

The Committee for Relevant Arts (CORA) is set to celebrate Nobel Laureate, Wole Soyinka’s 80th birthday in grand style. Professor Wole Soyinka will be 80 on Sunday, 13th July 2014. This was disclosed in a statement signed byCORA’s Secretary General, Alfred Toyin Akinosho and Program Chairman of CORA, Jahman Anilukapo. “Soyinka has worked towards the unshackling of our freedom of expression for all these years and in the year of the 25thanniversary of the Fall of The Berlin Wall; 20th anniversary of South Africa’s democracy and the 15th year of Nigeria’s end to military rule. It is fitting to honour a landmark birthday of a man whose life-long career irrepressibly dotes on concern about human Freedom(s) with a year-long programme that interrogates our quest for freedom, especially through the letters.

The judge in charge of the ongoing court case between Brymo and Chocolate City, Justice Buba I.N, has pulled out of the case after he was accused of being biased. During cross examination of singer Brymo, yesterday, Chocolate City Counsel T.O Lawal claimed that the Chocolate City vs. Brymo dispute was as a result of the singer’s misconducts and his promotion of hard drugs on his social network accounts. ‘I want to put it to you that one of the reasons you had problems with the plaintiff (Chocolate City) was because you were promoting hard drugs on your social network accounts. I was made to understand by the record label that your conducts and promotion of hard drugs like Indian hemp made the record label to lose a potential N20M endorsement deal for you with a major telecommunication company. Negotiations were ongoing about the deal, but it was called off,’ Lawal said to Brymo. However, the statement was playfully countered by the judge, Justice Buba I.N, who said: ‘The plaintiff cann

In a recent chat , he talked about his adaptation of indigenous language and its importance in the music industry. “As of the time I entered the industry, indigenous rap music was just gaining ground. People still looked at indigenous artistes as local and uneducated people. I do indigenous rap because I think that is what I can do best, not because I cannot rapin English. Whenever I rap in Igbo, I end up being the real me. And judging from the criticisms I got from people, it took guts for me to get there. We cannot continue to emulate international rappers for long.
